What is the future of online arcades in the context of crypto and multiverse?
Cryptocurrencies are becoming increasingly popular as a payment method, especially in the context of the metaverse, a virtual world where people can interact and play games. Partouche Multiverse, a subsidiary of the Partouche Group, is a new entertainment platform that is based on virtual casinos in the metaverse and accepts cryptocurrencies as payment. The metaverse is a virtual space that blurs the lines between reality and the virtual world, making it possible to work, meet, do business, and buy goods. Cryptocurrencies represent the culmination of a process of dematerialization of money that started with the inconvertibility of the dollar into gold in 1971. Virtual casinos in the metaverse are becoming more popular, offering players the opportunity to use digital currencies instead of traditional cash or chips. While Italy still lacks regulations for digital casinos that accept cryptocurrencies as payment, the European MICA regulation aims to increase transparency and prompt reporting of transactions by cryptocurrency service providers. In Italy, the most common payment methods for online gambling portals with regular licenses granted by the Customs and Monopolies Agency are cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic wallets (e-Wallets). However, Cristaltec, a company that offers gaming services, has announced that it will be launching a new service in 2023 that will allow users to use cryptocurrencies to top up their accounts.
