Opera One launched with built-in AI browser integration.
Opera has announced the release of Opera One, a browser that incorporates a native AI assistant called Aria. This marks the 100th version of the Opera browser and is also the first browser to have a native integrated browser AI. This is a significant milestone for the company as it comes at a time when many other companies are exploring the potential of AI in their services.
In a statement, Joanna Czajka, Product Director at Opera, said:
“As people who are passionate about browser innovation, we decided to rethink the role of the browser in light of recent developments in the AI field. Unlike other browser companies, Opera didn’t just add AI services to its browser. We went back to the drawing board and redesigned our flagship browser. Opera One is built around Aria, our native browser AI, and represents the culmination of our work so far.”
Opera One’s Native Integrated Browser AI
Aria enables ChatGPT integration and provides a sidebar for users to access the service through the browser. It offers both web and browser capabilities, allowing users to collaborate with the AI while searching for information. It also has AI-controlled support, which uses Opera’s documented support database and the latest product knowledge to provide users with answers.

- Dogecoin may experience a 20% decrease due to a unique pattern in its price.
Users have full control over their access to the new product and can choose whether or not to use Aria. To use the AI browser, they must click on a sidebar and sign up for a free account.
Opera One also features Tab Islands, which offers a new way of interacting with tabs. The feature organizes related tabs based on context to provide flexibility and improve the overall browsing experience. It also solves the issue of having too many open tabs when working on multiple tasks.
With the Tab Island feature, tabs with similar contexts are grouped together in the same tab island when researching related topics. This makes it easier for users to return to them and switch between tasks within the related tabs.
The product is available for free on Windows, MacOS, and Linux and offers users access to ChatGPT 3.5-level service and other AI features. There is no doubt that this launch will pave the way for other AI-related services and updates for the Opera browser.
The introduction of Aria is Opera’s response to evolving user needs and technological advancements. We can expect competitors to launch products with similar AI features, especially if Opera One receives positive feedback from customers.
